My "classroom" is set up, curriculum organized, the first two weeks of paperwork are in daily files (so that I can just pull the file and have the work ready to roll) and we are ready to go!

I have a dry erase board from my corporate days that we will be using all set up and right now we have a "count down" as to how many "sleeps" until school starts. Thomas takes great joy in erasing the board in the mornings and tells me how many "sleeps". He also plans to call me "Teacher Mommy" which I find to be adorable.

I am as excited as Thomas...standby for weekly updates as we begin this new adventure!

Charles and I decided to homeschool for a variety of reasons. Lord knows it would be easier to send the kids to public school (what on earth would I do with all of that free time?). Homeschool is about education there is no question but Charles and I would like our kids to learn about CHARACTER, INTEGRITY and the BIBLE.

How thankful we are that we have the opportunity for our kids to be homeschooled...my prayer is that they thrive in the homeschool environment and that we draw closer to each other and to HIM.

There are bound to be lots of funny stories and we make our way through our first year of homeschooling...I probably could have named the blog "Kibble Klassroom Khaos" but the misspelling (albeit intentional) of classroom was already messing with my OCD. :)
